ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
- Abstracts can be submitted via the Online Abstract Submission System only.
- Abstracts sent by email will not be accepted.
- Abstract submission Start Date: July 25 , 2024.
- submission deadline Date: October 31, 2024 - 23:59 IST.
- Only those authors who intend to present the abstract and attend in person should submit the abstract.
- In order to enter the Abstract Submission System, create an account and register for SNMICON2024 conference.

- The abstract should be relevant to nuclear medicine (Original Research, Translational Research and AI in Nuclear Medicine).
- Abstracts about ongoing research can be submitted. In case of acceptance, authors should present the latest findings in the final presentation.
- One author can submit maximum of 2 abstracts. However, multiple submissions of the same research is not allowed.
- Abstracts submitted and accepted in other conferences should not be sent again.
- Abstracts should not contain the trade name.
- The presenting author is to be highlighted in bold and underlined.
- Pending submissions will not be considered for the review process.
- The primary author will receive the notification email whether your abstract has been accepted or not. Please also check your junk folder.
- The presenters must adhere to deadlines and guidelines, and they must promptly respond to communication.
TITLE
It should be specific and short. Do not include authors, institutions, city names, trademarks, company names and locations, websites, email addresses and abbreviations in the title.
The first author will be the abstract presenter by default. If the presenting author is not the first author, it should be highlighted in bold and underlined.
ABSTRACT BODY
- The abstract must be submitted in English (UK/US) language only. All abbreviations used must be spelt out at first use.
- The font size should be 12 and it should be double-spaced.
- Abstracts should not exceed 400 words (excluding title and authors) and should be well structured.

- Results:
- Conclusion and References (if any):
- It should not contain illustrations or figures. The table can be included if necessary.
- Inappropriately structured or incomplete abstracts will not be sent for review and will be rejected.
REVIEW PROCESS
- All the submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the experts. All reviewers will be carefully selected to review abstracts in their category that best fits to their expertise.
- Abstract on original idea, concept and current interest of the topic to the scientific community will be given high priority.
NOTIFICATION OF ABSTRACT ACCEPTANCE
- The outcome of the review process (accepted or rejected) will be notified by email to the corresponding authors by October 30 , 2024.
- Accepted abstracts will be scheduled either as award oral ,free oral or only Poster Presentations decided by abstract review committee .
- If the abstract is accepted, instructions and guidelines concerning the abstract presentation will be provided via email and online.
ELIGIBILITY AND RULES FOR THE AWARD PAPERS:
- At least one of the authors or co-authors should be a life member of Society of Nuclear Medicine, India(SNMI).
- The presenting author (Presenter) need not be a member of the SNMI, but should be a pre-registered delegate of the Conference.
- The paper should not have been presented or submitted to any other journal or Conference.
- The full manuscript of the paper with figures, tables etc. should be submitted in the prescribed format for publication in Indian Journal of Nuclear Medicine. The consent and copy rights of the paper should be sent/transferred to the Editor in Chief IJNM for publication in the IJNM.
- Any financial support or grant from Government or non-governmental agency or industrial/trade organizations towards the study should be notified.
- Presenting author should be students if possible(so as to have matching competition )and their HOD /consultant should not present the paper in the absence of student.
- The award shall comprise a prize money, certificate and memento.
- The award shall be declared and handed over to the winner in the Valedictory Function.
- The prize money shall be given in the form of cheque from SNMI
- The citation will bear the names of the first three authors of the award winning paper and its title.
